TORONTO, March 31, 2023 - DriverDX founder Angie Ricci has been nominated for the 31st annual RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards in the category of Innovation. This award showcases a forward-thinking entrepreneur who has recognized a new market, product, service, technological advancement or opportunity and led the way. She has demonstrated outstanding leadership within her company and her market and she has set standards for originality, quality and successful management.
Ricci owned and operated the largest bus fleet for gaming in Canada when her business slammed on the brakes due to the pandemic.
“DriverDX operates in the transportation industry where fleets on average saw decreases in revenue of over 80% during the pandemic. The industry collapsed and those who survived were soon hit with record high gas prices and a looming global recession,” says Angie Ricci, Founder & CEO of DriverDX.
“The industry collapsed and those who survived were soon hit with record high gas prices and a looming global recession.”
Armed with determination and pure grit she pivoted and launched a tech startup through a Silicon Valley-based accelerator and DriverDX was born!
With a focus on solving the problem of a "catastrophic" driver-supply chain shortage, DriverDX is at its core a public benefit company driven to improve work-life balance for drivers and attract people back into the industry.
Ricci’s goal is for DriverDX to become the top platform for fleet owners, providing them with powerful tools to source commercial drivers, find insights into their operations, and provide better flexibility for drivers. The Ones to Watch award category exists to celebrate businesses around for more than one but fewer than three fiscal years
